About the Program
Arizona State University is announcing an exciting partnership with The Washington Center in Washington, DC. The Washington Center offers ASU students, who have achieved at least second semester sophomore standing, the opportunity to participate in a number of semester long internships from a variety of disciplines.
ASU encourages students to participate in experiential opportunities that will enhance students' overall growth and development. Through funding from University Student Initiatives, ASU has agreed to offer students who are accepted to this program an opportunity to apply for extra support.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for this program, you will need to have achieved at least second-semester sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Next Steps
- Go to the Washington Center website and explore possible internship opportunities, costs, potential funding sources, and important deadlines.
- Contact Dr. Elaine Jordan at the beginning of the process for guidance.
- All essays, statements, and resumes must be approved by Dr. Jordan and Dr. Darr before being submitted to The Washington Center.
- Send copies of these documents to Dr. Jordan and Dr. Darr.
- Meetings with Dr. Jordan and Dr. Darr are encouraged but are optional.
- Once you have been offered and accepted an internship, you may, if you choose to, apply for ASU's Washington Experience Scholarship to help assist for costs associated with this internship. Applications will not be accepted before you have submitted your materials to TWC.
- This program is hosted at the West campus. You will need to contact either Dr. Jordan or Dr. Darr for the line number for your internship hours.
