Arizona State University is announcing an exciting partnership with The Washington Center in Washington, DC. The Washington Center offers ASU students, who have achieved at least second semester sophomore standing, the opportunity to participate in a number of semester long internships from a variety of disciplines.
ASU encourages students to participate in experiential opportunities that will enhance students' overall growth and development. Through funding from University Student Initiatives, ASU has agreed to offer students who are accepted to this program an opportunity to apply for extra support.

In order to be eligible for this program, you will need to have achieved at least second-semester sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
ASU Washington Experience Scholarship Process
ASU Washington Experience Scholarship Application
The Washington Center would like to announce a special summer internship program that could provide you with substantial financial assistance by means of federally-funded placements with the United States Coast Guard in Honolulu, HI.
Selected undergraduate students from your institution have the opportunity to intern during summer 2008 with the USCG. Environmental Science, Business Administration, Human Resource Management and Management majors are particularly encouraged to apply for these internship opportunities. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Students who are accepted into the USCG program will receive funding covering the cost of Washington Center program and housing fees, plus earn a weekly stipend (weekly stipend will increase if housing is not needed).
Students from your institution must receive approval from your campus liaison, Dr. William Simmons, to participate in this program. USCG applications will be accepted through mid-April. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. To apply for the USCG internship program, students must submit an online application with The Washington Center. When applying, students should choose Option 2 for the Government Scholarship Program: Coast Guard.
